The Kidzpositive Family Fund is dedicated to improving the health of HIV-positive children in Southern Africa. Our goal is to generate funds for the grassroots support of HIV/AIDS. Our aim is to become a regional source of financial support for organisations providing care for significant numbers of affected families. The name of the fund is inspired by the positive spirit and actions of these people.

Bike for a Bakkie Senior Tour
A note from the Team: The Prologue (otherwise known as the Cape Epic) is now over and we serious cyclists can get into detailed planning for the Bike for a Bakkie Tour (AKA 'The Senior Tour'). One discovery made this week is that our route includes a 10km (?) portage out of the Gamkaskloof along what's known as the Donkey Trail. (I think this name means that anyone sensible will take another option - by car for example, in the opposite direction). The thought of carting a bicycle up a mountain reminds one of carrying tarred telephone poles up and down the Suikerbosrant outside Heidelberg in the old Transvaal.

Zog the Frog, floating (always floating) trophy from the 2010 Pedal for Peddie, will be presented to Marc and Ben Mendelson, to mark their success in the Prologue (aka the 2011 Cape Epic). Marc and Ben, in Kidzpositive colours progressed from a precision cycling time 4 minutes short of the cut off time in Stage 2 of the Epic, to a laid back Stage 7, which saw them finish with 58 minutes to spare. If only we can do as well as that on the Senior Tour
